Resistance is no more

Daniel Brooke, SCEE’s online producer has announced that the Resistance series, which launched along since the PlayStation 3 in 2006 is no longer being persued. In a statement to Official PlayStation Magazine he said: “The Resistance franchise has been exciting to work on but as for the future we have no definitive plans.”

So after a trilogy of PlayStation 3 games, a PSP and Vita games the series is over. For now at least. We heard in January that after the Vita version the series developer – Insomniac Games they were not interested in developing any more games, and so the series goes with them.

It could potentially be brought back by a different in-house developer but it seems unlikely at this point.
