SEGA have announced a Summer 2012 release date for new online multiplayer Brawler Anarchy Reigns. The game is being created by Platinum Games, makers of Bayonetta and Vanquish. Also, Konami’s Metal Gear Rising. SEGAs Gary Knight stated that it will ‘bring a new type of gaming to the Brawler genre.’

The game is expected to be a knock-out for SEGA. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, Knight claims that ‘one or two player fights will be a thing of the past’. The game is to be made on a larger scale, not just in a vast fantastical environment but also introducing an array of human and cyborg characters. Each character brings a new personality to single player campaigns and provides over ten hours of gameplay. Multiplayer consists of modes such as Last Man Standing Touranments and Co-op. Action Trigger Events can be utilised to bring new events to the environment like plane crashes, making it ever shifting and changeable.

Anarchy Reigns will be released on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 6th July 2012.
