Sonic & All Star Racing Transformed announced
SEGA have announced a sequel to the 2010 Sonic & SEGA All Star Racing, dropping the SEGA from the title, Sonic and friends are back and this time there is one big difference. This time as you race around the track the cars transform themselves accordingly be it aircraft or boat.
There are 27 of SEGA’s favourite characters making an appearance across 16 tracks. A new single player mode takes players across new and familiar locations such as the Death Egg from Sonic 2. Similar comparisons to Mario Kart 7 can be drawn but time will tell if SEGA tweak the game or put a different spin on the racing genre.
Sonic & All Star Racing Transformed will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in late 2012. Oddly, SEGA have remained schtum on if a WiiU version will be shown later as the Wii version is missing from the launch list.
