Sonic & Tails Join Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania

Sonic & Tails are taking their time out of beating Robotnik’s evil plans to appear in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania in celebration of both Sonic’s 30th anniversary and the 20th celebration of Monkey Ball. When the game releases across most current platforms on 5th October, they’ll be joining Beat from Jet Set Radio along with additional yet-to-be-revealed guest stars.

Joining Ai-Ai and the crew, the Blue Blur and Tails will be sporting their classic Mega Drive looks, albeit in shiny 3D models and will be collecting rings instead of bananas. They will be unlocked as you play through regular play rather than being paid DLC or a preorder bonus. Here’s a brief teaser:

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania is an HD remake of the first 3 games and will feature 300 of the toughest levels in the series and will be releasing on 5th October across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4 & Xbox One. If you buy the PS4 and Xbox One versions, you’ll get access to the next gen upgrade subject to the usual conditions at no extra cost.
