Square Enix announces Scarygirl

Square Enix have today announced Scarygirl – a Two Dimensional platform game with a darkside. Based upon the graphic novel by Nathan Jurevicius, Scarygirl is a tentacle arm young girl who dresses like a pirate who is haunted by a strange man in her dreams. It is Scarygirl who must travel through environments such as Owl Woods, Old Man Mountains and the Stinky Swamp to put a stop to this mad man once and for all.

Helping her along the way are characters from the graphic novel recreated in this beautifully crafted dark world that strikes of Alice in Wonderland mixed with A Nightmare Before Christmas. As well as this, Scarygirl has a range tentacle based attacks to defeat enemies and progress through the game.

Scarygirl launches on the Xbox Live Marketplace on 18th January and the PlayStation Network on 24th January.
