Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Gets April Date For Switch
As part of the latest Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games are continuing their partnership with another Star Wars game. This time it was confirmed that the classic action-adventure game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be releasing on 20th April.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is set between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, and tells the story of Starkiller, a secret apprentice of Lord Vader who is tasked with wielding the powers of the dark side to shape the galaxy by destroying all that stand in the way of the Empire.
Tracking down Jedi Masters will see Starkiller venture across recognisable locations, including Cloud City, the Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk, the floral planet Felucia, and the junk world of Raxus Prime. And as the name suggests, Force powers can be unleashed and combined with lightsaber skills. There’s also a Duel Mode where you can fight against friends to find out who is the most powerful Jedi or Sith in the galaxy. This version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is based off the 2008 Wii version so will feature both traditional button and motion controls, which have been tweaked to account for the improvements that the Joy-Con bring.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will release on 20th April and is up for pre-order on the Nintendo e-Shop for £17.99
