Take a snap for Nintendo UK
Everyone takes loads of photos these days, when you look through your phone you’ll see tons and failing that, Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest and various other social networks show how many we take each year. Yet, many will be surprised to hear that there thousands of photos each year done from 3DS’…
According to Nintendo, 60% of Nintendo 3DS owners take more than 100 photos a year and 13% take as many as 1,000, which equates to three a day! Clearly I’m in the minority as I’ve taken 2 photos so far…
There is a point to this however, as people are taking lots of photos on their 3DS, Nintendo UK have teamed up with The Royal Photographic Society to launch a UK-wide Nintendo 3DS photography competition.
To enter, all you need to do is take a photo that falls into one of the following categories: Animals, People, Places, Objects, Nature and Augmented Reality and then upload the photo here.
Your photo will be judged by an expert panel, including Lauren Jarvis, editor of National Geographic Kids magazine, and Dr Michael Pritchard, Director General at the RPS.
The prize? Of course, that’s the most important bit! The most promising photographer will win the top prize of a trip for two to Paris and a photography masterclass, while lucky runners-up will be awarded Nintendo goodies in recognition of their skill.
The contest is open between the 2 April 2012 – 17 June 2012.
