The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark Gets The Super Rare Treatment On Switch And PS5

Super Rare Games are bringing physical copies of The Darkside Detective games PlayStation 5 as well as bringing the sequel, A Fumble in the Dark, to Nintendo Switch. The point-and-click detective games are set in a fictional world of Twin Lakes where Detective Francis McQueen and his partner Patrick Dooley investigate crimes of a supernatural nature.

As usual with SRG’s games, they will be Super Rare… The Switch version of The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (release #101) will be limited to 3000 copies where as the PS5 discs of The Darkside Detective Duology (release #4) clocks in at 1000 copies. Preorders will go live on 9th November directly from the Super Rare Game website and are expected to ship a few weeks after that.

There are some differences to note about this release, but both versions include the usual limited edition stickers and trading cards, as well as a full manual. The PS5 disc version however includes both The Darkside Detective and A Fumble in the Dark, whereas the Switch version only includes A Fumble in the Dark. This is because Super Rare Games already released the first game as a physical copy on Nintendo Switch back in 2019.

Unfortunately for fans who missed out on the initial print of The Darkside Detective there are no plans for a reprint, which is the standard SRG policy.
