Thanks to Sony’s State of Play, we have gotten the first look at Street Fighter 6 in all of it’s glory. It’s coming next year. Unlike Street Fighter V, this time players will be able to pick up the game across PlayStation & Xbox consoles as well as PC.

It might seem that Street Fighter 6 is coming hot off the heels of its predecessor but it’s been 6 years since SFV hit PS4 and PC. This time, Capcom are utilising their proprietary RE Engine, to bring three distinct game modes; Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub.

There will be enhanced visuals for every aspect of the game and from the above trailer, it looks like players are in for a visual treat when the game releases.

Fans of the SF will want to know what changes will be made for this new installment and Capcom have teased that The Classic Control Type is back alongside a new option. The Modern Control Type provides players easier input methods to execute combos and special moves.

A new Drive System has also been implemented. This is a new gauge used to perform five distinct techniques designed around player’s offensive or defensive capabilities.

With Summer Game Fest just around the corner, we’re expecting a deeper dive on what these new features are and maybe will get a more expanded roster.

Street Fighter 6 is coming to PlayStation 5 & 4, PC & Xbox consoles in 2023.
