Lara Croft returns in the first full game reboot to the franchise since Square Enix took over Crystal Dynamics and Edios entertainment. Since the reveal trailer last E3 2011 all has been quiet on the Croft Front. However in Microsoft’s press conference they announced a new trailer that sees Lara fighting for her survival.

The trailer shows Lara beaten and tied upside down (with a gravity defying fringe), trying to desperately escape her captors. She finds her friend dead, broken bones and even set on fire in an effort to escape her own tomb. Showing that Lara can not catch a break must survive and escape the island.

We already know that the damage caused will have an effect on how Lara will move, react and compose herself throughout the games experience, but also announced was that the first piece of Downloadable content will be an Xbox Exclusive.

Tomb Raider is scheduled for a 5th March 2013 release after a small delay to the development on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
