The producers of the Evercade retro system, Blaze Entertainment have announced two new arcade cartridge collections for Evercade to coincide with the launch of the new Evercade Alpha bartop arcade hardware. These cartridges build on the ever-expanding lineup that is currently running at 500+ games.

These two new collections titled Toaplan Arcade 3 and Data East Arcade 2 see 18 arcade games added to the Evercade family. These arcade cartridges will launch at the same time as the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade systems and have full compatibility across the range. This means that the games can be played across the new Alpha bartop, the VS-R home console, or the recently announced EXP-R handheld.

The Alpha Bartop unit is the latest machine from Evercade and comes in two variants, Street Fighter or Mega Man. Depending on the unit, players will get a changeable marquee based on the franchise chosen, as well as 7 built-in games, with the space to expand the selection of games thanks to the unit’s cartridge compatibility. Both the Evercade Alpha units, Toaplan Arcade 3 and Data East Arcade 2 are set for release in November 2024.

Here’s the full list of games you can get with each Evercade Arcade cartridge:

  • Batsugun

  • Ghox
  • Out Zone
  • Truxton II
  • Vimana
  • B-Wings

While the Alpha unit is still a few months out, Blaze Entertainment are gearing up to launch the EXP-R handheld. The unit is up for preorder across multiple retailers including Funstock and can be bundled with the first three Tomb Raider games.
