Wargroove 1 + 2 Is The Latest Game To Get A Physical Release

Chucklefish’s Wargroove 1 + 2 collection is getting a physical release courtesy of Super Rare Games. Wargroove is a turn-based tactics game that was first released in 2019 and thanks to its positive reception, a sequel followed just last year. Now both games have been bundled into one cartridge for a limited time.

For Wargroove 1 + 2, Super Rare Games has squeezed both games into one Switch cart. As is customary with the limited print, there are only 4000 copies of the game available. This time, however, SRG confirmed that some lucky souls will receive signed copies of the game.

Wargroove takes place on the island continent of Aurania where war has broken out in the Kingdom of Cherrystone. A young Queen Mercia must flee her home and is pursued by her foes, the only way to save her kingdom is to travel to new lands in search of allies. The four-player strategy game lets players pick a Commander and battle warring factions. To aid with these skirmishes, gamers can design and share maps, cut scenes, and campaigns with editors and customization tools.

Wargroove 2 follows directly from the events of the first game where trouble stirs on the shores of Aurania. An ambitious new faction has unearthed forbidden relics capable of catastrophic consequences. A cast of new Commanders is available to choose from as battles spread across the lands, seas and even the air.

Wargroove 1 + 2 is out now physically for the Nintendo Switch. Digital versions are also available on PC, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox.
