Playtonic announces that the remastered version of their first game will be coming to consoles. Yooka-Replaylee will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and whatever Nintendo calls its next console. No release date has been set but to go along with this announcement, Playtonic has included a nice trailer to show players what they can expect.

Yooka-Replaylee is an updated version of the 2017 3D platformer that brings visual enhancements and improved gameplay to modern consoles. Not only will gamers get their hands on improved visuals, but they can also expect to see fresh challenges and new characters along with a refreshed move set, smoother controls, and a new orchestral soundtrack. We’ve embedded the trailer below to give you a taste of what to expect.

While a release date hasn’t been pinned down just yet, it is assuring that development is progressing nicely. It’s also nice to see early support for Nintendo’s next console, even if it hasn’t formally been announced yet.

Gamers in the UK will be able to get their hands on a demo version of Yooka-Replaylee at this weekend’s EGX event at London’s Excel Centre.

Yooka-Replaylee will be available on PC, PS5, Nintendo’s next console and Xbox Series X/S.
